Advance clean energy opportunity
A 2023 legislative win
Primary priority
Building Resilience: Safe, affordable, and clean.
With more insulation, sturdier windows and doors, and efficient heat pumps for heating and cooling, resilient homes and buildings will lower energy bills for Oregonians while transitioning to clean electricity that’s is good for us and the climate we depend on. As part of the Climate Resilience Package, this bill passed.
Other priorities
Divest Oregon (work to be continued)
The Oregon Treasury has a fiduciary responsibility to protect all of Oregon’s investments for the long term, including those in public employee retirement funds such as PERS. This bill stops risky new investments by directing a mandatory exit from carbon-intensive investments.
Just Transmission Siting (work to be continued)
HB 2989, HB 3180, and HB 3181 make changes to energy project siting and permitting processes to ensure that we can equitably build out more energy projects and reach our state’s climate goals.
