Meet our new operations coordinator

AhnaLiese Barnes grew up in Oregon and from a young age knew she wanted to work in a field that helped people and had a sense of belonging and community.

She landed in the corporate world and has more than nine years of experience in administration and office coordination in the worlds of real estate and aircraft.

In her spare time, AhnaLiese enjoys being outside as much as possible and using her social media to share trails, educating others on keeping Oregon green for future generations, staying safe while exploring solo, and sharing trails with easy access for all.

AhnaLiese, what makes you you?

My empathy for others and my passion for adventure.

What are some ways you live a Just Transition?

Supporting local and BIPOC businesses. Protecting our lands and waters by practicing Leave No Trace principles, and educating others on how to do the same.

What about your new role excites you?

Being able to put my experience, empathy, and compassion toward the greater good of our frontline communities and making a difference in the lives of others.

What’s your favorite place in Oregon?

I absolutely LOVE Central Oregon. There is something about the high desert landscape that just draws me there. But I love exploring every corner of this beautiful state with my pup Minnie Mae who loves adventures as much as I do!

What is one fun fact about you?

I took a solo trip to Iceland in 2023 and car-camped around the country.
