Meet AhnaLiese, Operations Coordinator

“I spend my free time protecting our land and water by practicing Leave No Trace principles, and educating others on how to do the same.”

Meet AhnaLiese Barnes

AhnaLiese grew up in Oregon and from a young age knew she wanted to work in a field that helped people and had a sense of belonging and community. As a teen she spent her time volunteering at the local hospital, the Human Rights Campaign, and then later marching as an ally with Black Lives Matter.

She landed in the corporate world and has more than nine years of experience in administration and office coordination in the worlds of real estate and aircraft. She was once a licensed loan officer assistant in Oregon but quickly realized how unjust the real estate world was to renters, low income, and first time home buyers and she longed for a career path that would allow her empathy and compassion for others to shine.

The nonprofit world is a new one to AhnaLiese and she is excited to put her experience to good use in a space that cares for our frontline communities while simultaneously restoring her work-life balance after leaving the corporate world.

In her spare time, AhnaLiese enjoys spending as much time outside as possible and using her social media to share trails, educate others on keeping Oregon green for future generations, staying safe while exploring solo, and sharing trails with easy access for all.
