She was awarded the 2017 New Mexico Young Professional Award and the 2017 National Center’s Native American’s 40 under 40 Award.
Deleana's personal life is as vibrant as her professional one. She is the proud mother of a nine-year-old son and the owner of two pugs. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, crabbing, kayaking, harvesting local foods, hunting, adventuring, and traveling. These activities not only provide joy and relaxation but also connect her to the land and the sustainable practices she champions of reconnecting to land to reconnect with self.
